Message | 1) No, our position on this is well-known. 2) No, how could letters then be used as evidence in court? 3) Unsure on this, but forced to vote no anyway due to the other proposals. |

Date | 13:36:34, August 20, 2006 CET | From | We Say So! Party | To | Debating the Civil Liberties Package of 2272 |
Message | Nay on all. 1) Allowing the ownership of firearms only leads to increased violence within society and an increase in lawlessness. 2) As pointed out by our colleagues in the SDLP, letters must be available to be used in court as evidence. 3) Similar to the above problems, but evidence must be able to be used in criminal proceedings. This would limit the ability of the police to do their jobs as well as making it possible for innocent individuals to be detained in custody due to the inability of the police to force individuals to release evidence. This entire bill does nothing to promote civil liberties, rather it increases the risk of lawlessness within this Country. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
