| Prostitution will occur no matter what efforts are made by those in power, therefore it is better for it to be properly regulated and controlled by the government to ensure that there is no abuse, and that all of the health and safety precautions are taken, as well as producing a decentive for any excessive profit motive that would exist and lead the managers to place undue amounts of pressure on their employees. |

| Message | ooc: I actually sorta agree with this proposal IRL, the best way to reduce prostitution and other victimless "crimes" is to make them less cool. The first step is to legalize it, the second is to tax the heck out of it, regulate it, restrict it's advertising, and etc... A state monopoly is probably a bad idea, as it would probably result in a dependance on the funds generated. I suppose it would make having the whores tested for STD's one a week or so more convenient... |
