MessageFrom the Magrathea Tribune:

As the decennial People's Congress was held this month, the IPC has, for the first time in its history, voted in Congress on a cabinet slate. The pro-business wing led by Bernard Whitmyre opposed the slate, saying that it gave too much power to socialists. Insiders claimed that Whitmyre had also hoped to become Finance Minister, a spot reserved in the proposed slate for the FFP. After the assembled IPC delegates voted to accept the slate as proposed, Gloria Jiminez Fleming, the Minister of Food and Agriculture, was given the position of Premier, a vote that again split along faction lines. Foreign Minister and former Chancellor Sophia Anieri, surprising no one, opted to return to retirement, and the remaining Ministers will continue into the new Cabinet.
