Details
Submitted by[?]: Hobrazian Peoples Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2281
Description[?]:
We should stop unequality in our health care systems and spend some money on developing a system where every single citizen can get aid when needed not taking in account whether they are poor or rich. The money spend on controlling and regulating private clinics should be used to serve the general public. Furthermore extra spendings should be put in the health care sector to fund extra clinics, better service and better health in hobrazia. |

Message | This makes no sense, either economically or healthcare wise. The current system means that the healthcare of the nation is carried out by the public sector, with the private sector carrying out only those areas that would be so expensive as to reduce the ability of the health service to afford health provision (ie, unnecessary cosmetic surgery). This law would bring those expensive and completely unnecessary operations into the public sphere and force the health service to pay for them. This is unsound and a very great risk to the public health of the people of the republic at large and we urge all Parties to not support this as it will do nothing but damage the health of our nation. |

Message | We do not consider "unnecessary cosmetic surgery" as health care. If they are caused because of crime, acident etc. the free health care system will take care of it and aid the patient. He/She should not be forced to pay expensive sums on private clinics. Economically there is nothing more important than the public health. Therefore it is completely logical to operate a public health care system based on humanism instead of one based on economic gain. |

Message | "We do not consider "unnecessary cosmetic surgery" as health care." - So what is it then? It would be carried out in a hospital or clinic, utilising trained medical professionals, taking up space in a hospital ward, aftercare provided by more trained medical professionals, whether you consider it health care or not, it IS health care. "If they are caused because of crime, acident etc. the free health care system will take care of it and aid the patient." - And is already carried out within the already operating free health service. They are not forced to pay expensive sums in private clinics, the only people who use such places are those that wish to have the already mentioned unnecessary work done and due to the current system those people do not take up time, space and money that would otherwise be used to treat those who need the money within the public health system. "Therefore it is completely logical to operate a public health care system based on humanism instead of one based on economic gain." - We already do. |

Message | So important, you thought you'd say it thrice!! ;-) "Yes they do, as the doctors performing these duties then will be missed in the public sphere where, we believe, their help will be more needed." - Not necessarily. There is nothing stopping those doctors working in both spheres utilising their abilities within the public sphere for those who have proper medical problems and then furthering their income working to help those who require unnecessary but lucrituve surgery in the private sphere. The removal of the private sphere not only reduces the availability of hospital resources for important procedures, but could have a massive effect on the ability to attract and maintain health care professionals within the system. |

Message | mmmmhhhhhh......I just realised that the enter button was stucked ;-) Indeed it will spoil the public health care when the doctors seeks more lucrative payments in the private clinics. Then again we are talking about a system basen on own economical gain rather than humanism. |
