Bill: Legal Representation
Details
Submitted by[?]: Kellarly Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2074
Description[?]:
In an effort to provide a fair chance at defence for any Hutori citizen, I propose a system where by lawyers working for the state are paid in line with their collegues in the private sector so that adequate defence can be had by any. It does not say that the best lawyers always go private, but many do what is best for them and their families and go to where they can be better paid, which is invariably private. If the government can offer a competative wage, it will be more effective and cheaper, as well as giving the judicial system a certain amount of independence from government. |

Message | Correct, but after the other bill that was proposed, which was pretty much that, we thought this would be a good compromise. |
