Message | Is war peace now? Under the guise of increasing aid, the PP wants us to roll back the amount of aid we offer? Chilling. |
Date | 06:47:19, June 29, 2005 CET | From | Protectorate Party | To | Debating the Helping our neighbors |
Message | We are not recommending a reduction to the people listed above rather an increase. Perhaps a better way of phrasing it would be: a moderate Py amount to be devoted to a select group of nations achieving a high level of aid for those nations. We believe in targeting our aid to where it can do the most good. |

Message | Which still amounts to denying aid to others, which we are patentily against. Not that, I'm sure, anyone was banking on our votes in support of this proposal. |
Date | 11:03:42, June 29, 2005 CET | From | Free Reform Coalition (FRP) | To | Debating the Helping our neighbors |
Message | we would be willing to give aid to others, but its also a matter of how much money we have of our own to give up. ooc: we have no legitimate taxing solution, no economy and no way for us to calculate how much money we could give. let us assume this then: high levels of aid mean we give between 20-30% moderate levels between 10-20% and low levels between 0-10% |

Message | also, even if you don't accept those numbers, high levels are still high, which means that the likelyhood of being able to maintain that support is unlikely, with moderate levels it can go up or down and countries must act frugaly with the money. |

Message | Leaving aside the Py amount for the moment we are suggesting targeting our aid to our closest neighbors. We believe we cannot help everyone no matter the noble intentions of the LevP. We feel instead we should direct our aid to our neighbors and perhaps send our foreign minister to a few nations of a like mind around the globe. Thus creating an international community of good willed nations which are dedicated to working in their respective hemispheres to aid the people in nations who need it most. |

Message | ooc: in that case, lets compromise at mod aid until the country gets an economy |
