Message | article 1 - there are so many harmful thing and illegal file, so government should investigation to illegal activities conducted by using internet. aticle 2 - law Regulation "Sexually explicit content may be shown all day long." but article have a bad thing, if sexually explicit content shown all day long, may all of broadcasting is Erotic, it's more terrible when our children watching that! |
Date | 04:43:54, September 17, 2006 CET | From | Libertarian Socialists of Endralon | To | Debating the Act of Media |
Message | We oppose article 1 as it will strengthen the power of the state and make it more difficult for our people to share copyrighted material. We have mixed feeling about article 2 - while there is some content it's better for children not to see we have to realise that they're certain to come across it anyway even if it is restricted to a certain time so it's probably not worth limiting the choices of TV cooperatives and their viewers. |
Date | 05:48:32, September 17, 2006 CET | From | League of Objectivists! | To | Debating the Act of Media |
Message | The problem with the LSE's 'feelings' is that if all of their freelance socialists (read: thieves) are given carte blanche to steal whatever they wish, there won't be any new copyrighted material left to steal. What if we never prosecuted bank robbers, who could break into any vault without punishment? Who would then bother to build a bank ever again? That is what police are for, to protect the property that people have earned. The League agrees with article 1. However it is not the government's job to police morality. Broadcasters should be free to show whatever content they wish. Remove article 2. |
