Bill: Religious Taxation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Party of Darnussia and Malivia
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2288
Description[?]:
Religions often function as businesses. If a religion is making a profit, it is only fair that the profit be taxed. Any other business would be taxed and there's no reason that religions should be exempt from that. Charitable donations will not be taxed, however, so the religion will be able to fund its programmes using charitable donations as well as what is left of their profit after tax. |
