Bill: Justice Reform

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hobrazian Peoples Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2291

Description[?]:

We should allow the justice Department in situations where a terrorist attack, organised crime etc. is feared, with grounded cause and evidence, to use all meassures to stop these criminal activities. Therefore this ammendment should be incorporated in our legislaton.
We add following to the bill:
Should any information be found to be false after letters are opened, no information is released and the name of the person(s) who have been investigated will not be released into the public domain.

We also refer to this situation to argue that we have to take precautions to avoid such sad happenings:

MessageFor once, we agree with our colleagues of the HPP.
Whilst the confidentiality of letters should remain inviolable, the justice must be able to use all means at its disposal should they feel it necessary.
We would, however, feel happier if a clause was added to the bill guaranteeing that should any information be found to be false after letters are opened that no information is released and that the name of the person(s) who have been investigated will not be released into the public domain.
