Bill: Trade Union Freedom Act of 2289

Details

Submitted by[?]: Telamon Royalist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2291

Description[?]:

The value that trade unions provide cannot be ignored. But neither can the rights of workers to unionize or not at their will. Forcing employees to join a union is just as wrong as banning the union. It should be the right of the workers to collectively bargain and act, just as it should be their option not to.

Of course, if a worker chooses to leave a union, then they will find themselves dealing with their employer or employers on their own, but that option has to be available in a free society.

Random fact: When forming a cabinet, try to include as few parties as possible, while still obtaining a majority of the seats.

Random quote: "The great economic, social and political scientist, Karlstein Metz, accurately predicted over 2,500 years ago that capitalism is doomed to destruction by its inherent weaknesses and contradictions, and must inevitably be replaced by a communist form of social, political and economic organisation." - Friedrich Pfeiffer, former Dorvish politician
