Description[?]:
"The Social Liberal Party feels it is time we made our stand when it comes to the environment and nature. We present this proposal to the parliament. O SLP sente que chegou a altura de afirmar os seus valores no que diz respeito ao ambiente e à natureza" - David Suzuki, Social Liberal Environment Specialist. "The SLP has analyzed this year's budget and we also feel that the present adjustment is called for. While high to moderate sales taxes are an incentive for saving, we feel that Lusitanians could use the tax break." - Warren Buffett, SLP Finance Expert. |

Message | The Green Party will support this legislation, provided that Lusitania's luxury tax is not lowered. Instead, we propose that such tax raised be used for specified environmental maintenance and recover projects. |

Message | Nós até concordamos com a redução das taxas, mas discordamos totalmente de toda a restante burocracia pseudo-ecológica inútil que os senhores do Partido Liberal Social propõem... Votamos, naturalmente, contra. |
Date | 00:51:57, October 03, 2006 CET | From | Green Workers Party | To | Debating the SLP - Nature and Tax Proposal - Proposta Natureza e Impostos |
Message | Unfortunately, while we see great environmental benefits in this legislation, our party factions cannot agree on supporting this bill based on the inclusion of Article 2, which in effect lowers all tax revenue from which such an expanded environmental package could be funded. |

Message | "The Social Liberal Party wishes to make clear that the environment is an important issue. As we approach the 24th (in-game) century, there will be moments where the environment is the ONLY issue that matters." - David Suzuki. |
Date | 05:10:43, October 03, 2006 CET | From | Green Workers Party | To | Debating the SLP - Nature and Tax Proposal - Proposta Natureza e Impostos |
Message | While we agree with protecting the environment, bundling tax cuts for the rich in the same package as an environmental bill will not cut it for the GWP. Separately or not at all, is our position. |

Message | "What the Green Workers Party fails to see in this case, is the simplicity of the issue. The tax cuts are not for the rich. We are proposing to lower a sales tax on non-essential items. Also known as luxury items. Beyond food and clothing everything is considered a luxury item. By lowering the tax on these items we are making them accessible to lower income families, since a few DAR's less on a product will make a significant difference for them. The social liberal party believes that higher taxes on items such TV's, microwaves and sofas, are more significant and prohibitive for lower income families than to higher income families, in terms of the act of buying and also in tax revenue." - Warren Buffet |
