Message | I'm wondering if the members of parliament have considered that we're now talking about the possibility of an unregulated black market for pornography that may include such things as pedophilia and so on... At least if pornography is a legalized industry it might be regulated to ensure the safety of employees who find the need or desire to work in said industry. |

Message | ..and the PEP can cite an example of a nation where legalising some facets of pornography prevent a blackmarket in those which remain illegal? Supporting an industry - the very nature of which undermines the respect which each of our citizens has for each other is deplorable and should be legislated against. Pornography is not art. Pornography is a fundamental perversion of the joy of sexual love. |

Message | *rant continues from the steps of parliament for a further 3 hours culminating in: "We cannot support a proposal which threatens to exploit our own people. The IRP votes against the motion and urges every other party to show each other a little respect and vote against the proposal too" |

Message | (I hope everyone realizes that I'm just RPing this thing, heh... eesh... I'd hate to be thought a porn loving social democrat, yargh!) |
Date | not recorded | From | Progressive Pragmatists | To | Debating the Sexually Themed Material Act |
Message | Porn already is out there and cannot be removed. Enforcement of such laws takes valuable resources and accomplishes nothing. Money that would have been taxed now goes to the black market and disapears. |
