MessageWhy the large cuts in trade and finance? Surely more government owned and operated industries means it costs more to operate as they are now under direct control and thusly it costs more through finance as they are directly linked to said control and its ability to track the increased required spending.

MessageWe agree with WSS!P We also would like to state that investments in national industry coping with an unemployment problem would not cause more jobs, but will increase umployment rates. Therefore we do not look upon these cuts. We will not vote for this proposal as it will damage the public sector and that is not socialist agenda.

MessageOne of the reasons for the proposed cut is that it forces the part of the government that operates industry to maintain efficency in their works. There will be no reduction in the regulations that specify how much product must be delievered, and the rules for good employment still stand. And with the increased budget for science and technology, the national industries will have more advanced parts to use, thus allowing them to do more at a lower cost. This budget is an attempt to run the government smarter, not harder.

MessageBut your reasoning makes little sense. Until such time as new production methods come onstream through the use of new technology that *might* become available through increased science and technology funding those businesses that are operating are being expected to operate with less money. In order to do so they must cut costs and the easiest way to do so is to either reduce expenditure (most likely through wage cuts or job losses). The only other way to "balance their books" would be to increase prices harming the consumer directly.
We also repeat, why reduce the money to finance as more things are being taxed at higher rater, not least of all industry.
Whilst we don't not support parts of this budget, we are concerned that accepting this would harm overall economic efficiency, especially considering this Government recently took control of all industrial matters. This requires more, not less, expenditure to be given to industry as the money that would otherwise have been provided by private finance, which might otherwise have covered the increased costs, have been lost.
