Bill: SLP - Sales Tax Reform

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Liberal Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2297

Description[?]:

"A reduction in sales tax is sure to stimulate increased consumer confidence. Given our current surplus we are obliged to lower sales taxes that were way to high even during the Popular Party's time in government.

We are expecting that the reduction of sales tax on essential goods and non-essential goods by 2% and 3% respectively, will have a rousing effect on Lusitania's economic performance returning 34 billion DAR's from the state coffers, directly into the pockets of Lusitanians, while lowering the prices on goods as a counterweight against inflation and also increasing the purchasing power of low income Lusitanians." - Warren Buffett.
