Bill: Budget proposal of February 2297

Details

Submitted by[?]: Social Liberal Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2297

Description[?]:

The Social Liberal Party proposes to adjust the government's spending budget to better address the economic and social situation of the República da Lusitânia.

This proposed readjustment in spending for the year 2007, consolidates our change from the conservative obscurantism of the Popular Party, to the enlightening priorities of the Social Liberal Party. Our objective is clear. Lusitania must be a just and well-informed society. Our priorities are education, health, the environment and science and technology, which itself sees the greatest overall increase in funds. Massive cuts to bureaucratic ministries such as foreign and internal affairs will help streamline the budget and with a 50% reduction in finance, we intend to increase the independence of private investments. On top of this we save 500 million DAR." - Warren Buffett.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.

Random quote: "Soldiers are not the enemies of the movement. They're potential allies. They're more than that. Soldiers are the only people in America who are paying a stiff price for this war. Everybody else profits. Soldiers are the ones losing their lives, losing friends, having their lives disrupted. The real victims of American imperialism are its soldiers." - Fred Gardner
