Message | We would support legalisation of small-scale gambling, but not casinos. |
Date | 00:13:53, July 03, 2005 CET | From | Protectorate Party | To | Debating the Gambling |
Message | Small scale gambling is more likely to be infected by crime and would be harder to regulate then larger casino operations. Our goal is to provide opportunities for employment as well as enjoyment and this would not be accomplished with smaller scale establishments. Our nation has the potential to be a tourist haven infusing our economy with money from abroad. We are situated at the equator, with kms of coastline as well as a clean, well protected environment. The legalization of gambling will permit local governments another aspect they can use to draw visitors to their communities. |

Message | all are fair points, we think it is perfectly possible to offset the negative affects of gambling with good management of the system. |
