Bill: National Anthem

Details

Submitted by[?]: Aldurian Libertarian Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2299

Description[?]:

It could be something like that:

O Alduria, notre patrie et terre natale
Un véritable amour patriotique vibre dans le coeur de tes enfants
Le coeur heureux, nous te regardons t'épanouir
Pays de la vérité, puissant et libre
De loin et de partout, O Alduria
Nous sommes prêts à tout pour toi
O Alduria, nous sommes prêts à tout pour toi
O Alduria, nous sommes prêts à tout pour toi

OOC:

I just realized that, in a very ironic way, the national anthem of Alduria is an adaptation of the English version of the - originally French - O Canada anthem...

I adapted the French translation found on the canadian government site.

MessageI'm not 100% satisfied with this adaptation, but if you want to go with a french anthem, I will work on it.

MessageI adapted the French lyrics of the Canadian anthem (so it rythm):

O Alduria! Terre de nos aïeux,
Ton front est ceint de fleurons glorieux!
Car ton bras sait porter l'épée,
Il fait régner la Loi!
Ton histoire est une épopée
Des plus brillants exploits.
Et ta valeur, de joie trempée,
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits
Protégera nos foyers et nos droits.

Rough translation:

O Alduria! Land of our ancestors,
Your brow is wreathed with glorious garlands!
As your arm can bear the sword,
It makes reign the Law!
Your history is an epic
Of the most brilliant feats.
And your valour, in faith steeped,
Will protect our homes and our rights;
Will protect our homes and our rights.

MessageCopy paste error, the accurate tranlation is there:

O Alduria! Land of our ancestors,
Your brow is wreathed with glorious garlands!
As your arm can bear the sword,
It makes reign the Law!
Your history is an epic
Of the most brilliant feats.
And your valour, in joy steeped,
Will protect our homes and our rights;
Will protect our homes and our rights.
