Bill: Agricultural Freedom Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Parti démocratique alduriain
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2298
Description[?]:
It is highly inefficient for all farmland to be owned and operated by a single operator, be that operator a private or public corporoation or the government. While we do not believe that government-owned farms should be banned entirely, we believe that competition will create a higher quality product and lower prices than a single owner. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government agricultural and farming subsidies policy.
Old value:: All agricultural operations are state-owned and operated.
Current: All agricultural operations are state-owned and operated.

Message | Do not try and say that we are only going to create corporate farms: Farming operations, under the current law, that are deemed too large are broken up, and the Democratic Party is not against this. |

Message | OOC Sorry for doubleposting IC We hope that this will form into private farming families, possibly uniting as farming cooperatives, not government or corporate managed, but managed by the farmers themselves. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
