MessageSpeech by Alexander Thompson, Leader of the Militarist Party of Sekowo:

“This bill is necessary to safeguard the continued sovereignty of our nation, to maintain the safety of our people and protect the prosperity of our nation. Without these basic powers and the proper support from our national government, our army remains impotent and weak, the brave men and women of our armed forces who stand forever ready to defend us are left in harms way to be slaughtered, and our people sitting ducks to be robbed, attacked and enslaved.

It is an insult to our national pride that our armed forces have been restrained and cut back, ruining their ability to properly carry out their duty. The neglect of our Armed Forces is a tragedy, but with this bill, the wrong can be undone and our National Army rebuilt to its former glory. Any politician who rejects this bill is a traitor and unpatriotic.

I hope that our honorable brothers of the Sekowoian Liberal Party will work with us in passing this bill, and I expect the support of President Benitez on this indispensable peace of legislation.

Long live Sekowo!”

MessageSpeech from Alexander Thompson, Leader of the Militarist Party of Sekowo:
“Firstly, the Militarist Party of Sekowo recognizes and acknowledges the Capitalist Party of Sekowo’s support on this patriotic and infinitely necessary bill.

Secondly, we would like to address the Liberal Party of Sekowo’s concerns and objections to this proposal.

Concerning Article II of the Bill.
For the government to control and maintain the industries necessary to the development and maintenance of the nation’s Armed Forces. This responsibility cannot be shirked by our national government and left in the hands of the private sector. The very nature of corporations is to put the acquisitions of money ahead of anything else. Recognizing this, it is evident that a corporation or a number of corporations charged with this responsibility would naturally put it the acquisition of money before fulfilling the needs of our armed forces, for example, discontinuing production of a necessary but unprofitable equipment, keeping their equipment within a reasonable price and maintaining a proper standard of quality with their products at the expense of profit. These are unacceptable risks and weaknesses posed to our armed forces through irresponsibility on behalf of our national government, and therefore, we must pass this legislation against privatized defense industries for the good and safety of our nation. We cannot responsibly compromise this proposal.

Concerning Article IV of the Bill.
This Article is essential to the maintenance of our armed forces and the protection of our national sovereignty. This bill will firstly, ensure a properly seized permanent standing army, secondly, encourage youth to join the armed forces, facilitating recruitment, and thirdly, give every citizen training, so as make them eligible to be quickly drafted from civilian life in times of war as needed. A sizable pool of trained and able reservists is necessary to the safety of our nation.

Concerning Article VI of the Bill.
All people’s who engage in hostilities towards Sekowo on behalf of an enemy nation must realize that they will not be unpunished if they are apprehended by our armed forces. It is irresponsible and unpatriotic to reward enemy combatants with free food and housing in addition to safety and the relief from being ordered on further dangerous operations for their decision to actively subvert the sovereignty and endanger the people of Sekowo. The very proposition is ridiculous. Furthermore, during times of war, all resources must be utilized and mobilized to ensure the continued safety and sovereignty of our nation. Prisoners of war are a resource, and must be used to aid any war effort into which we may enter.

Concerning Article VII of the Bill.
Recognizing the requirement of the armed forces that all forces members be at a certain level of strength and physical ability, and recognizing that women are built differently than men so as to make them less suitable to fulfill this requirement, it is evident that women cannot be allowed to enter into military service alongside men in battle positions. Further, recognizing that women and men can be considerably distracted by the presence of a member of the opposite sex with whom they would like to copulate, to the point of making the situation dangerous and making a soldier neglectful and unvigilant, it is foolish and irresponsible to allow men and women to serve alongside each other in combat situations. Further, recognizing that women are the bearer of children and the mothers of our nation, and recognizing that maintaining a positive birthrate is essential to our national sovereignty, and also recognizing that women that one man can impregnate more than one woman, it is irresponsible and unpatriotic to put women at risk of dying as opposed to men. Further, the male population of our nation can easily staff all necessary all combat positions required by our military, and so female combat operatives or not needed and are serve the nation better as non-combatants.
