Message | We must have the capability to paricipate in a war or an arms race at any time, however. We should probably begin actually arming ourselves, especially our far off maritime claims, due to the fact that, despite our inability to believe it, Terra is full of extremist organizations with the intent of the overthrowing of peaceful democracies. |

Message | Also, we don't want corporations influcing governments to start wars so that they can get more contracts Having a large military also means high taxation and less money for education and social services. |

Message | We'd be in favour of Articles 1 and 3, but Article 2 we think, if it should move, should move towards state ownership, not away from it. |

Message | The state should not control defence industries, but we can see circumstances in which it should subsidise them - although we can probably support the proposed amendment that would remove subsidies. Article 1 is also something that we could support but we must vote no because of article 3. Whilst we agree that we should probably never use nuclear weapons, we should still retain the right to be able to develop them to ensure the best possible defence for Telamon |
