From | Kellarly Party | To | Debating the Cannabis Bill | Message | If it lowers the potential capacity for working and being involved with society I cannot see the benefits of such a policy. Also this will cost maybe millions in having addicted workers and others who slack of work or are incapable of it. We cannot in good conscience back this bill. |

From | Communist Party | To | Debating the Cannabis Bill | Message | Um, the assumption seems to be that legalizing drug use will lead to increases in rates of drug use and/or drug addiction. |

From | Kellarly Party | To | Debating the Cannabis Bill | Message | There is always that possibility. I am not saying that it will happen, but the possibility is such that we should think about some regualtion at least. I don't want to see them banned, but, if we have a law that permits alcohol only to those 18 years or older in licensed premises, we should consider similar things for recreational drugs, otherwise it seems slightly contradictory. |

From | First Socialist Party | To | Debating the Cannabis Bill | Message | Please note that the bill had been changed to come under the same laws as smoking. One must be 18 to partake of 'drugs' and may not do so in a public place. |
