Bill: Tax the Rich, Feed the Poor

Details

Submitted by[?]: Peoples Party of Aloria

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2304

Description[?]:

This tax proposes two tax increases.

The first, a slight increase of the current corporations tax, which is a shameful ZERO. Corporations often drain and exploit communities in order to make a profit (which is fine), but it is nesacary to tax these companies to put resources back into the communities which are the foundation to their success.

The second, a considerable increase in the luxury good tax (also currently ZERO). This tax on unnesacary luxury items ensures that consumers that have the ability to fritter and waste money on luxuries, are also contributing to those at the bottom of societies economic ladder.

MessageThe Aloria Peace Party fully supports any attempts at wealth redistribution and the equity it creates. We therefore fully support the creation of a luxury tax which ensures that the richest sections of society are helping the less affluent, but only when they exercise their immense privilege. It is with great pleasure that we throw our weight fully behind this proposal and thank the Peoples' party for suggesting it commending their attempts at wealth redistribution.
