Message | Whilst we support the general sentiment that we have interpreted from the treaty, we question some of its methods and therefore oppose it for very similar reasons that we oppose the neutrality treaty. there is of course a huge, underlying point of ideological divide here between passive/active roles. whilst we support the right to abstain as a legitimate response to a given situation, we question the motives behind those that abstain "for the sake of it". It is one thing to come to a reasoned conclusion of abstaining, it is a completely different matter to turn a blind eye to the situation altogether. apathy-by-default and laissez-fairism are the biggest hindrances to a compassionate and progressive society. |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
