Bill: Adoption Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Social Democratic Liberal Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2075
Description[?]:
This bill aims to introduce government regulation for the process of adoption. Under this proposal, those wishing to adopt would have to have their application reviewed by a government agency. This process would involve: - an interview conducted by a childcare professional to determine whether the child would be going into a loving, responsible household - a further interview to determine if those wishing to adopt are financially capable of looking after and raising a child. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning adoption.
Old value:: Adoption is not regulated.
Current: Regulation is used to screen out only those with a previous history of child abuse.
Proposed: Adoption is strictly regulated by the government. Only by passing several tests and by following an intensive program applicants can adopt children.

Message | What criteria do you use to decide if somebody is qualified. I believe income will play a unfair factor in adoptions. I can't support this as is. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
