| WHEREAS the Solentian Republic has had a period of five (5) years to respond to our repeated requests for the arrest and transportation to Telamon of the heads of the Nuncirist Movement, in response to the Olympic Tragedy, and WHEREAS we have enacted total trade embargoes against said nation, and WHEREAS the government of said Republic has remained silent beyond the October First (1st), 2305 deadline established in the trade embargo act for communication between the governments of the Solentian Republic and the Telamon Commonwealth to be established, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Telamon Commonwealth, for the sake of forcing the hand of said government towards at least some response, and out of a sense of duty to those thousands of souls who lost their lives at the Olympic Opening Ceremonies on August Thirty-First (31st), 2300, upon the reciept by this Act of the requisite votes in favour shall commit our Navy to the enforcement of a total Naval Blockade of all trade eminating from the ports of the Solentian Republic, a blockade to endure for a period of not more than two (2) years, whereupon further total silence from the Government of the Solentian Republic shall be cause for a reevauation of the options available to this august body. |

Were it up to us, this wouldn't even be an issue, as the heads of the Nuncirist Movement would be in total solitary confinement in Corthan Island National Prision as we speak. But they are not. And why are they not? Because the Solentian Republic government has totally ignored us! We say, let them ignore this! Let them ignore their trade vessels being denied the right to leave harbour and see how long it takes for them to respond! |
