SocialGreens wants to expand the right to adopt a child. Article 1: Adoption isn't regulated yet, we propose to let adoption handled by private organisations, ofcourse under the watching eye of the government. Article 2: In an act of equal rights for every human being, we don't only want to give heterosexual couples the right to adopt children. Homosexual couples are - proven by research - capable of being good parents. We want to give them the change to prove it. |

Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning adoption.
Old value:: Adoption is not regulated.
Current: Regulation is used to screen out only those with a previous history of child abuse.
Proposed: Adoption is regulated by private, recognised organisations.

Message | We disagree with the second. Single parents are just as competant! ooc: I was raised by divorced parents and spent most of my time with my father who remained single and he did the best damn job he could. So, I fail to see how a couple would be better. |

Message | The next phase is a every can adopt regulation. That proposal sounds to rash and risky to me. In most of the cases it are couples with a desire of having children who sign up for adoption - singles in a smaller percentage. If adoption-parents break up, the child is also being raised by a single parent. |

Message | To reiterate what was I said in the other bill, I support everybody being able to adopt - it is better for a child to have a single parent than no parent at all. However, couples should be given a priority, as two parents does tend to make for a more stable upbringing for those children who have already had a hard start in life. I also support a state run adoption system rather than private, but this is better than having none at all. |
