| In order to promote national stability the Lords of Power wish to replace the current unstable system of Republicanism in Dranland with a more traditional Monarchy (in this case an Emperor). This will be the first monarchy in Dranland since the fall of the Five Kingdoms and the first Emperor to reign over any one of the former kingdoms. Let there be an Emperor! OOC: You have to admit that things would be more interesting with an Emperor than a cookie-cutter Republic. |

| Message | [ooc] We tried this in my old nation of Alduria and whilst at first the idea seemed novel and fresh, it quickly turned sour. Elections became very dull and with a dearth of Republicans in the nation became impossible to change. This was made all the worse by the fact that our HoS before the monarchy bill went through was a female who ended up stuck in power for centuries with the name "King" Birgitta! If the majority are prepared to give up the Presidential elections each term (and all the underhand deals that go with it) then the CZL will support the LoP in their quest for Monarchy. We await the other parties points of view. [/ooc] |
