Bill: Moral Liberty Act Trois

Details

Submitted by[?]: Progressive Democratic Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: June 2076

Description[?]:

The view we take here is that there's no place for the state in the bedrooms of the nation.

If it's not recognized, then we can't regulate it to make sure sexually transmitted diseases are not transmitted.

Through the equal opportunity provided by our education system, everybody has the chance to get a good job. Therefore, those wishing to prostitute themselves will be doing it because it is their choice.

The age of consent for prostitution will be set at 18 to coincide with the age at which compulsory education ends.

MessageOr...you know...for the benefit of everyone's health and to keep the innocent from diseases they are not aware they may be contracting...we keep it illegal. How's that?

MessageYes, but the other one does not recognize prostitution as a profession and does not regulate. If prostitution is recongnized and regulated with health check-ups after every encounter then prostitutes cannot spread diseases.

Message...After. every. encounter?

And what if they do find a disease then? Your saying they will stop them from working. Well now it's that discrimination or some other bullshit junk they can accuse random people of? THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

And apparently, there is no age limit to who can be prostituted. Hmm hmm. 13 year olds? Not while I have the power to stop it.

MessageNo, given the governments active role in the workers world we must not be seen as sponsering prostitution.

MessageWe won't sponser it, we'll only make it legal. This is why it shouldn't be a profession.

MessageAfter every encounter seems rather laborous. Say $50-$100 per trick, would that cover getting checked? Just require use of condoms and check every day.
