Message | Question on how child labour is defined. (OOC: large debate on the forums when this was introduced) We feel that as long as we have a lower age cap of around 14-16, and that the work is not dangerous or prevent or otherwise get in the way of education, we do not have a problem with it. Pay should also be kept in line with adult employees, to insure younger workers are not displacing the adults. In fact, we would encourage such behavior as it helps kids discover their interests, learn good work ethics and introduces them to their role in society. |

Message | hmm...That's funny - i thought child labour was defined by the UN, but that's not very in-game;) They define it as being aged 14 and under. Check this out: http://www.un.org/cyberschoolbus/briefing/labour/index.htm That was what i was thinking about when I said "child labour". |

Message | It is the citizens first duty to serve the national community. And the communities first need is for strong, effective and useful citizens. Our citizens must get accustomed to all possible service that can be done to the community at the lowest possible age to fullfil the criteria of a good citizen mentioned before. And this includes phisical labor, which should therefor be fully legalized and be mandatory. |

Message | OOC: the debate can be read here http://www.takeforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3737&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=child+labor+labour&start=0&mforum=particracy I don't think it ever can to a conclusion, and since there is only one issue over employing children I have assumed it covers bot hchild work and child labour. Thus the additional regulations addition, to prevent labour and permit work. |
