Date | 21:56:09, November 07, 2006 CET | From | Partito Nazionale | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | We never decided anything with you. We formed a coalition government to end this political crises and not to gain power and ignore our principles |
Date | 21:57:15, November 07, 2006 CET | From | Partito Nazionale | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | This reform is aiming for a strong government and lots of taxes. These measures are against investors |
Date | 22:30:35, November 07, 2006 CET | From | Social Liberal Party | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | The Social Liberal Party would like to call upon the PN to approve the tax reform, this policy bill and an upcoming budget. You have our solemn promise that if they fail to reverse the recession, we will resign from this game. You must vote favourably still on the tax reform bill. If that does not pass then our coalition is meaningless and elections will be called. |
Date | 22:54:17, November 07, 2006 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | [Resign from the game?! This is a game, you are not supposed to resign, but to play! Lol!] We really think this coalition is meaningless. A Social Liberal Party and a Fascist Party cannot do well. Of course, the CP does not agree with these measures as they are against private investment and initiative. |
Date | 04:22:27, November 08, 2006 CET | From | Social Liberal Party | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | Private investment? What is private investment if not people seeking their own interest? If people have nothing to invest, there can be no private investment. Social inequality drains the economy. Economic Liberalism is non-concentration of power. Lusitanians cannot afford to save for medical emergencies and retirement while they are paying for their job training and education. |
Date | 11:38:34, November 08, 2006 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | We can't believe this bill has passed. This is an attack on liberty and real social justice based on merit. We blame the NP for this. |
Date | 16:43:55, November 08, 2006 CET | From | Social Liberal Party | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | This is what Lusitanians have vote for. Sensible government. I hope you understand that the kind of nation you were trying to build simply does not exist, never has existed and cannot exist. It is as dogmatic and utopian as Marxism. I'd like to inform the opposition parties that this reform will have little effect unless we strengthen our public institutions. They are currently severely underfunded. The budget and tax reform must pass. |
Date | 21:32:16, November 08, 2006 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | Of course. These reforms are not compatible with the current budget. But the CP as opposition will not pass it, of course. |
Date | 21:33:20, November 08, 2006 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | The SLP shouldn't have let this bill pass without certainty about the budget approval in the parliament. Shameful and irresponsible! |
Date | 22:50:13, November 08, 2006 CET | From | Social Liberal Party | To | Debating the SLP - Lusitanian New Deal |
Message | Complain to the NP. We had sent the following conditions for coalition to them. "As far as voting discipline is concerned we would request only that you approve: 1. Income-tax reform 2. The federal budget 3. A General Social-Economic Reform that we will announce shortly. This is the absolute minimum. Beyond this the Social Liberal Party would relax voting discipline and allow you to vote against our bills if necessary." |
