Message | If this fails, we will not try again until after elections. It should also be noted that the refugee article is a compromise, not a weakening. |

Message | We are in favour of article 1, but would prefer article 2 read that all were welcome. If that change is not made, then whether this fails or passes, we will propose that in the next term. |
Date | 23:27:49, July 04, 2005 CET | From | Progressive Conservative Party | To | Debating the Compassionate Foreign Policy |
Message | How would it be considered 'compassionate' to pass a law that decrees 'All refugees are turned away, unless they apply for protection through official channels.' Agreee with Article 1. |

Message | Will you people pay attention? We have attempted to pass everyone is welcome but it has been defeated. The proposed alternative, much like the pollution policy, is a step in the right direction and more importantly, a more compassionate compromise that should satisfy more parties. Obviously, we would also prefer to pass everyone is welcome but that is not feasible atm. |
