Bill: Senate Shrink
Details
Submitted by[?]: Green Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2315
Description[?]:
This bill would lower the number of senators from the current 199 to 125. 199 is a very round number created to prevent an absolute 100-100 tie. 125 is more round, and still prevents either a two way or three way tie (it is impossible to have 62.5 or 41.66 seats). |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The total number of seats in the legislative assembly. Should be between 75 and 750.
Old value:: 199
Current: 700
Proposed: 125

Message | Well, it would need 133 votes, and has only 104 - so it won't pass. |
