Bill: Standardize Testing Deregulation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Rightist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: May 2318
Description[?]:
Section 1: This act shall be referred to as the STDA Section 2: This act will discourage standardize testing. It has become well known that teachers only teach what is going to be on these tests and thus our students do not learn what they need to learn in order to be out in the real world. It also punishes promising young students who are bright in class but cannot take the test. This is unfair punishment for them and it will give the teachers more freedom in the classroom to actually teach students what they need to learn in order to be out in the working world. |

Message | We're not really an advocate of standardised testing, you explained what's wrong with this. But we'ld like to know some more about the proposed alternative. Don't you think this might create major differences, for example 2 equally smart kids getting different grades.. After all, isn't that why standardised testing was developed in the first place? Just asking.. |

Message | If I may ask the honorable tribal councilman from the GLDS why he thinks that this can generate 2 smart kids getting different grades? |

Message | Keep kids in school an extra year? Are you insane? That would through the entire educational system into chaos. This will not do that. This is far more practicle and think of the money we'll save. |

Message | I think it is evident that standardised testing grades everyone in the same manner, while this isn't the case otherwise. |
