Bill: Public Media Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Leviathan Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2036

Description[?]:

A for-profit, corporate run media is the greatest threat to our democracy. Critical to free speech is not just the ability to speak, but the ability to be heard as well. Public media outlets are critical for the creation of a rich political debate, and the government should help create and fund such outlets to foster this debate.
