Details

Submitted by[?]: Hobrazian Peoples Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2317

Description[?]:

We must keep a clear line to who enters our nation to practise religion and to establish missions. We have in our laws a rule saying that religions cant advertise, but foreign priest should be seen as such and therefore should register at the foreing ministers office for acceptance of their duty. We also take into account the possibility of religious fanatics that enters our nation in form of priests etc.

Furthermore we believe that religious clothing is advertising religion. Therefore all such should be banned to make a coherent legislation.

MessageWe can see the point, however this is slightly infringing on human rights of free religion which we believe in. Wearing them whilst in public office is rightly wrong but in the street it is up to an individual.

MessageNot if you affect the judgement of other people. Would you say hara krishna should be allowed to walk down the road singing their songs. We would call it advertising.
Also this could be abused by the religions to advertise by dressing religious and acting in the public sphere. We should stop such possibilities to avoid such advertising by religions.

MessageWhat is so wrong with a religion advertising itself? As long as they are not aggressive, it is up to the responsibility of the citizen to decide which faith he or she does or does not adhere to. This bill is insulting to the intelligence of our citizens.
