MessageI'm against this. The sad truth is that a police officer needs a gun. Otherwise what's he going to do? "Stop!! Or I'll say stop again!!!"

MessageStrangely enough, some police forces aren't armed! *shock*

Message"non-lethal" weapons kill people too, a couple months ago an innocent bystander was killed by one in my area, and they wont do much if it is a serious crime, by a criminal organization like the mafia that can equip people

MessageI'm aware of that, but they kill less people than bullets do. In cases where the police face armed attack, other forces can be deployed such as happens in Ireland.

Messagewell, deploying the military on your own soil is not a good thing, ever, and many times has bad consequences

MessageI was talking more in terms of the ERU (Emergency Responce Unit) in Ireland. Just take the UK for example as it has a similar population to Endralonm the police aren't armed but can call on armed back-up if needed.

Messageand the UK has a higher crime rate than america, at least violent crimes

MessageWell, depends on how the crimes and such are defined really. Some are, some aren't.

MessageWe wish the Natural Law Party had actually read our nation's laws before proposing this bill. Now any citizen can own more powerful weapons than the police is allowed to carry! I have proposed an Adequate Law Enforcement Act to redress the situation.
