Message | Ye have historically supported this. Prohibition has always failed. This will allow us to cut the pimps out of business, and hurt them, which will reduce crime. |
Date | 11:10:52, July 06, 2005 CET | From | LibCom Party | To | Debating the Right To Work Act |
Message | The current legislation doesn't prohibit prostitution, and offers no protection to pimps. We see no benefit in setting up a new class of officially-sanctioned pimps. |

Message | If the govt recognizes prostitution, then we can use occupational safety standards to impose "safer" sex that will benefit the healthcare system. And, as mentioned in the bill, the government can tax both the sex worker (income) and the sex seeker (sales or "sin" tax). The government wins on both the health and economic fronts. |

Message | a sin tax, that would be brilliant. EM's other points are justified. it is safer for everyone to regulate this rather than simply let it exist without any form of control. recognition will allow for the hookers' unions to form as well as reduce the health care costs of prostitutes and the people who pay for them. |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
