Bill: Hiring Practices Act of 2076

Details

Submitted by[?]: Proletariat Revolution Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2077

Description[?]:

Discrimination in hiring practices hurts both minrities and those who aren't part of a minority.

True equality in hiring practices comes from permitting no forms of discrimination or "affirmative action".

If there is no policy, some companies will discriminate against people for being in a minority, and likewise, vice versa.

Discrimination based on the level of qualifications is permitted competancy dictates how able a person will be able to do a job. In the case of physically demanding jobs (firefighter, military, etc), physical discrimination against those who are physically disabled, and unable to fulfill the job, is be permitted on legitament grounds.

MessageOf course. As long as that doesn't count positive discrimination towards people who have better qualifications - which is sort of obvious, but needs to be stated.

Qualifications and availablility should be the only discriminators.

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset.
