The introduction of a Food Standards Agency (FSA) to monitor and test the standards of all foodstuffs produced within, or imported from without, the Country. The FSA will test all animals prior to, and after, their slaughter to test for any known infections. The FSA has the right to visit and examine any farm or foodstuff producer/sellers premises to check for any known infectious or harmful agents that could infect any foodstuffs. Livestock farmers are also required to maintain a complete history of their animals to be provided to the FSA on request, or to FSA officials on arrival to slaughter. The FSA is empowered to close down any food retailer, producer or transporter as long as positive proof can be submitted that their storage or production conditions of said foodstuffs can be deemed harmful to the public.
