Bill: Restriction of Religious Radicalism
Details
Submitted by[?]: Communist Party of Aldegar
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2326
Description[?]:
Maybe there is consense on this issue: religions/denominations should registrate at a state bureau before having the possibility of advertising. This could prevent the rising of problematic religious movements that are willing to abolish democracy in favour of a theocracy or a religious-fascist dictatorship in Aldegar. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy towards evangelism and religious advertising.
Old value:: Religions are permitted to freely promote and advertise themselves.
Current: Religions are permitted to freely promote and advertise themselves.
Proposed: Religions are required to obtain government approval before promoting themselves or advertising in any manner.

Message | The CPA thinks there is not much to discuss. It is a rational proposal, nothing especially communist. |

Message | Why not? |

Message | Because that would give the state control of what religions may or may not spread. Again, it is restricting the freedom of men to choose their own regilion, which is essentially the restriction of what a man may think. This is wrong and completely counter to the liberal democratic traditions this nation was founded on. |

Message | It is aimed at religion that spreads reactionary, anti-modern ideologies. It is not against common christians, hindus or moslems, it is against hate preachers, radical fanatics and fundamentalist religious morons. |

Message | Let us prevent the uprising of possible dangers. Where is the problem? Even the CPA or a furure rightwing "Ultra-Nationalist Party of Aldegar" are democratic forces compared to movements this bill is focused on. |
Date | 03:38:18, December 09, 2006 CET | From | اراده مردم (People's Will) | To | Debating the Restriction of Religious Radicalism |
Message | If a persons view is anti-modern, that is their bussiness, not the governments. The freedom of religion is not something that is contained to "common" religious, but those of any religion. |
