Message | Storing tobacco out of sight will not change the possibility it could be sold to minors. Prefer keeping the current law on the books. |

Message | It will not stop sales to minors our current laws outlaw that, and we are not suggesting that aspect change. We are proposing legistlation which would support the concept of "out of sight, out of mind" and help to deter others from picking up the habit. Location of a product in a store is a prime motivator of sales as any marketing executive will tell you. |

Message | One wonders if we should do the same to alcohol. It would be difficult for a supermarket to put an 'out of sight, out of mind' to a liquor department. The MDP continues to oppose the proposed law and feel the current law is good enough. |

Message | alcohol is currently limited by location according to our laws. Requiring a license to sell. We do not have such restictions on tobacco. In addition alcohol is not addictive, thus there is no need to avoid the occasional impulse purchase. |
