Details
Submitted by[?]: Protectorate Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2329
Description[?]:
The work done by religious groups is of a charitable nature. It's goal is to provide for the needy, promote a moral way of life and guidance in times of trouble. Why are we taxing groups which are providing services which would otherwise be forced upon the government. |

Message | We trust local governments to be the best assessment of whether a local property, religious in nature, should be taxed or not. However, the MDP believes that the PPs preference would best fit in this proposal, and would consider voting for it, as it does not tax charitible donations. "Religions are treated as companies, and all profit is taxed, however, charitable donations are not taxed." |

Message | We initially considered that option, however funds not currently used directly for charity are still being used to support the mechanism which enables the work. Some work may involve longer investment, or churches may use a diverse methodology to gain funds. We should look at the larger picture of what religion brings to our nation, rather then short term gain. |

Message | If the PP is convinced their position is best, then surely they should put their trust in the wilayahs as they have advocated we do for so many years. There is no need for a national policy on this issue. |
