Date | 21:49:01, December 13, 2006 CET | From | Orange Party | To | Debating the Religious Freedom Act |
Message | It is not in the interest of equality to allow for religions to keep the entirity of their wealth. This allows for the creation of megachurches, much like corporations, and further misdistribution of wealth, based solely on a mere idea of god. |
Date | 22:15:51, December 18, 2006 CET | From | United Christian Democrats | To | Debating the Religious Freedom Act |
Message | The only equality that matters in economics is equality of opportunity. Everyone deserves a chance to make a living, however for the government to attempt to distribute wealth totally equally is a faliure and verges on despotism. As long as everyone has a fair shot. what does it matter if some inequality exists? |
