Bill: Constitution Act, 2329

Details

Submitted by[?]: Front Canrillaise

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2330

Description[?]:

We propose to have the Premier elected but still retain the monarchy.

This is a compromise done before in Rildanor that recognizes a King but allows for the Head of Government to be elected by the people instead of the unstable and uncertain Cabinet proposals.

Also, we propose to change the monarch to Hénri who is the rightful heir to the throne. http://particracy.wikia.com/wiki/Rildanor_Royal_Family

MessageThe accent on the E in Henri goes two different ways in Articles 2 and 3. Just FYI. I'll support it.

MessageWe're interested... Not that our vote will count yet. (After all, this was a compromise I spearheaded many moons ago).

Message1) I think the head of government should be a seperate title to give more power to the people over an unelected monarch

2) the other changes are both completely pointless

3) if I ever reach a point in which the conservatives do not have atleast 1/3 of the vote I will propose removing the entire monarchy

MessageWe'll support, but... what kind of motto is that?

MessageWell it's the only way to formally recognize the King as the head of state because it can't be placed anywhere else. Essentially, the country would have no national motto anymore.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.

Random quote: "By a continuing process of inflation, government can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens." - John Maynard Keynes
