Description[?]:
Whereas, With only private powerstations existing and the power grid a mess, everyone should be concerned about the unregulated private electric monopolies that exist within our great nation, and Whereas, There are three ways to fix this problem, one of which would be to nationalize the entire electrical system, which we would rather not do, another of which would be to regulate utility prices, which is reasonable although less effiicient, a third option, of a federal government-owned power grid with both public and private generation that sells to utilities at wholesale prices, allowing them to then compete for customers-- with subsidies for the poor-- is the third option, and with our preference for competition it is the one we choose to advocate, We hereby advocate the measures that we will list in the articles of this bill. |
