Interstatia intends to work to reduce the growth, import, sale and usage of tobacco and tobacco products in order to improve the nations health for the future. We propose that no citizen should have to inhale tobacco smoke as a part of going about their working lives and we also propose increased restrictions on the advertising and sale of tobacco products. Our citizens will lead improved, healthier and more active lives and the state will benefit from massively reduced healthcare issues and the costs involved. A better future for the Tukarali people. |

Proposal[?] to change Government policy towards smoking.
Old value:: Smoking is legal outdoors and in private homes and clubs, but illegal indoors in places of employment, with the exception of places that primarily serve liquor.
Current: Smoking is legal everywhere, at the discretion of the property owner. However, service/employer property owners that allow smoking must provide a separate non-smoking section.
Proposed: Smoking is only allowed in private homes and clubs.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change Sale of tobacco products.
Old value:: Only adults may purchase tobacco.
Current: Only adults may purchase tobacco.
Proposed: There are certain restrictions on the sale of tobacco and only adults may purchase tobacco.

Message | I'm afraid we're going to oppose this one. Regarding the first proposal, we think smoking outdoors (and bars, to a lesser extend) should be a possibility. And we see the point you're trying to make with the second proposal, but I think we're gonna stick to the current legislation.. |
