MessageThis policy is much more prudent than the current policy of paying for all drugs for everyone, regardless of income. We also feel that there is no compelling reason why the government should pay, even partially, for middle and high-income individuals whom can afford to purchase their medicine, as being proposed in a competing bill regarding Pharmaceutical Drugs Policy.

MessageUniversal healthcare should be just that, universal. An end of support for drugs is cutting off a major source of care to many.

MessageNot cutting it to many..just those with high incomes who can afford it on their own.

MessageHuman rights do not respect tax brackets. By passing this law the MWP will be cutting the buying power of millions of families, as they find their paychecks suddenly have to afford a new, significant expense. What we are talking about here is raising the poverty line depending on how much medication a family needs, as that is income they had previously counted on and will no longer be able to spend freely.

Ironic indeed that parties supporting 'freedom' in the economy intend to deny people that same freedom with their personal budgets. Universal means universal.

Random fact: Parties have the ability to endorse another party's candidate for the Head of State election (if there is one). This adds a strategic element to the elections.
