Message | Given Malivia's place in the global economy, autarky is not an option. Neither, from a moral standpoint, is allowing children to work and companies to lie to consumers. The PP's about face on economic issues is extremly frightening. |
Date | 14:43:10, December 18, 2006 CET | From | Malivia Democratic Party | To | Debating the Defense of our industries |
Message | Maybe on 1&2, but 3 is absurd. Malivia relies on imports in a number of cases, food, clothing..and autos. :) |
Date | 15:37:53, December 18, 2006 CET | From | Protectorate Party | To | Debating the Defense of our industries |
Message | In a time of privatizing our industries, especially autos, we need to give our companies a chance to catch up in technologies. Thus permitting imports would shut down these industries before they can get started. |

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
