Message | We lean against this proposal because of the devastation that could be caused by a complete strike of police or fire workers. They have the right under current law to only provide minimal service (basically, not let people die in burning buildings, but allow property to burn). That's still plenty of bargaining power. We do strongly believe in labor rights, however; so we could be persuaded. |

Message | We believe that our party's constituency, which includes many trade unionists, expects us to vote in favor of this bill, and thus with some reluctance we shall do so. |
Date | 15:36:52, December 19, 2006 CET | From | AM Radical Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Workers right to strike |
Message | Both Health Care and Fire emergencies are more prevelant in our poorest communities, and these are most in need of public workers to alleviate these needs. We cannot support any plan which would not guarantee these vulnerable members of society their basic health and safety needs. |
