Bill: Putting our workers first.
Details
Submitted by[?]: Elite Sinn Fein
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2334
Description[?]:
Self-explainable, I believe. The current policies involving people going on strike, I feel, are bad for they do not fully put the workers of our nation first. Every worker, regardless if critical to society, should have the right to go on strike for as long as they want to without the fear of being oppressed by their employers. I present the following reform. Please discuss. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Employer's rights in regards to firing striking workers.
Old value:: Government approval is needed before strikers can be fired.
Current: Employers cannot fire workers who have gone on strike.
Proposed: Employers cannot fire workers who have gone on strike.
Article 2
Proposal[?] to change The workers' right to strike.
Old value:: All workers have the right to strike but certain categories of workers regarded as critical to society have to ensure a minimal service.
Current: All workers have the right to strike.
Proposed: All workers have the right to strike.

Message | Article 1: It gives workers far too much power. Say I'm a janitor and I won't go back to work unless I get a payrise to a billion aureus a year. Employer can't fire me so he has to give in. Is it right? No. If everyone started to do that, we'd have massive inflation and the labour market would go out the window. Article 2: So basically you're saying is that people should die because some people don't get paid enough? Isn't that a tad selfish? |

Message | We give enough power to the workers already its their choice what field they go into and their choice to go to work everyday if theyre unhappy they shouldent have started working there its not the employers resposibilty to babysit whiners if you dont want to work we have a few blunt objects to fix that for you. |
